Confidentiality Policy
As an editor of medical-legal materials, organizational correspondence, and other sensitive information, I understand how important confidentiality and data security are to my clients.
Client Documents
The nature and content of client documents are kept strictly confidential. I will hold in confidence and not disclose client information to any third party except by written consent or as required by law.
I alone have access to client files. My computers are password-protected. My email and my cloud storage system are protected by two-step password-authentication.
I am willing to use whatever means of file transfer the client prefers (e.g., email, Dropbox, end-to-end encryption, FTP, etc.).
Any subcontractors hired to work on client documents sign a confidentiality and nondisclosure agreement. I am willing to use an organization-specific NDA, if desired.
When a job is completed, all documents are deleted from my hard drives and cloud storage system within 30 days. Any printed documents are shredded.

Personally identifiable information (“PII”) such as client names, email addresses, organization affiliations, and telephone numbers is collected via website contact form or by email. This information is collected to facilitate communication with clients and for internal accounting processes. PII may be shared with third-party accounting software vendors, but no other third party.
