Jahleen Turnbull-Sousa
Jahleen is a writer-editor with over 10 years’ experience in crafting and polishing medical and healthcare materials, business communications, and web publications. She is a graduate of Simon Fraser University’s Editing Certificate program and a member of Editors Canada, Plain Language Association International (PLAIN), and the Chartered Institute of Editors and Proofreaders (CIEP).

Jahleen lives with her husband and cat in their century home in Toronto’s Davenport village. When she’s not working or volunteering, she battles the weeds for control of her garden and loves to try out new sourdough recipes. She’s also a hobbyist singer, a ski and camping enthusiast, and a recently renewed piano student.

Janice Sansone
Janice has worked as a consultant quality assurance editor for independent medical assessment firms for the past seven years. She specializes in proofreading medical-legal reports and IMEs in a variety of medical disciplines, as well as proofreading insurance examinations for motor vehicle accidents. Her two decades of experience in the legal sector have given her a solid background in legal prose and a fine-tuned eye and ear for critical details and effective communication. Interested in all things word related, she has her certificate to teach English as a second language (TESOL) from the University of Toronto and has done continuing studies in French at Ryerson University.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and birdwatching with her husband and two daughters. When she is not doing internet research for her family’s next tropical vacation, you may find her looking for their resident escape artist, Howie the Hamster.
